10:00am - 12:00pm
At Brunswick FUMC we offer both a baby (newborn to 18 months) and toddler nursery (18 months – 2 years) during the 10am and 11am service. Two paid nursery workers Sophie Aubin (baby nursery) and Camryn Jones (toddler nursery), offer a kind, friendly and caring atmosphere for your children. Volunteers support Sophie and Camryn in their ministry. Parents sign their child in and are given a pager in case their child needs them.
First Friends Children’s Church
10:30am - 11:30am
Children’s church is designed to provide an engaging worship experience for Pre-School (Ages 3 -4) and Elementary (Kindergarten- 5th grade) aged children. Children gather with their families in the sanctuary (activity bags provided in the Narthex) at the10:30am service and join in the beginning of the Order of Worship.
Following the prayer and Lord’s prayer, children ages 3 and 4 and grade K - 3rd are dismissed to participate in Children's Church under the direction of Alexandria Tipton (Director of Children and Youth ministries) and volunteers.
The goals of Children’s church are to provide children with the opportunity to form spiritual friendships, learn of God’s word, and learn how much they are loved. Currently, we are using and loving the Grow Kids curriculum.
First Friends After School
3:15pm - 5:15pm
Wednesday programming during the school year provides a midweek opportunity for children and volunteers to come together for fellowship, fun, and Bible teaching. Children are picked up from school by volunteers and brought to Brunswick FUMC where they are provided time to work on homework, enjoy a snack, and activities related to the Bible lesson. To have your child participate, please fill print out the form below, fill it out and turn it in to Alexandria.
Each summer we invite the children of Brunswick FUMC to join us for our Wonderful Wednesdays in June and July from 10am to 1pm. This time spent together enables the children to get to know each other, me (Alexandria Tipton, Director of Children and Youth ministries) and the volunteers in a less structured and more intimate environment. All activities are planned for children that have completed Kindergarten up to those that have completed 5th grade. We meet at the church at 10am prior to each event. Please bring a towel and pack a sack lunch.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is an exciting summer tradition at Brunswick FUMC that takes place the last full week in June. You don’t want to miss this opportunity to grow spiritually, worship, and make new friends at VBS!
*Every person who works with children at FUMC has had a background check (Safe Sanctuary compliant) and has a deep desire to share God’s love with children.
